Day 1:
Departing from Wangaratta
we head South East driving through Omeo, where Gold was discovered back in 1851. Not long before we make our way
through one of Victoria’s largest and most remote areas of National Park, featuring spectacular peaks, rugged
landscape, the Magnificent Snowy River and much more. After stopping to visit Victoria’s deepest Gorge we make
our descent into McKillops Bridge one of the few places in the park with access to the Snowy River.

Day
2: Another big
day today, after a look around at McKillops Bridge we continue a journey, stopping
for fuel along the way before arriving at our next destination. Here we go for
a leisurely walk through the largest remaining cool temperate rainforest in
Victoria. From here we take a scenic drive, enjoying the spectacular views of
the Ocean and Surrounds before arriving at our next campsite beside the River. |
 |
Day 3: We move on down
through Lind National Park and follow a track that was once used by Horse & Carriage until the1960’s. From
here we make our to the top of Mt Raymond for Magnificent views of the Snowy River Flats & Errinundra Plateau.
Our next stop is at the Cabbage Tree Palms before heading off to Orbost and then on to Buchan. |
|
Day 4: Here at Buchan we
have plenty to do, walks, guided cave tour. After Breakfast and packing up we will still have time to go on
a 45 minute guided tour through an ancient cave formed by underground Rivers cutting through the Limestone
rock. There are Walks around the area for those who do not wish to go on a Cave Tour. After which we make
our back to Wangaratta. |
